Approximate cost is €2 per person. It helps to have the correct change. More details are available here: http://www.malagaairport.eu/buses.php
There is also a shuttle train service (half hourly at present) to central Málaga. The train station in Málaga is next door to the bus station. The train service is less expensive and faster than the bus transfers. Follow the signs as you exit the airport building, look to your left and cross the road in front of the terminal. It is well marked. The ticket machines allow you to select the language. It is only 4 stops to the station you need – María Zambrano (not Central).

There are picturesque Adalusian towns nearby. Please refer to the links below for additional information about Nerja and the area.
The mountains of the Sierra Almijara surrounding Nerja reach the shore creating a micro-climate; the mountains protect Nerja from the cold north winds while the influence of the sea maintains milder temperatures in both summer and winter.
Nerja hasn't been overdeveloped and still retains much of the charm of the Andalusian towns while still being very welcoming to visitors. Many of the local businesses (shops, banks, restaurants, etc.) have signs, brochures and menus in Spanish, English and German.
